Electronics

If you’re not directly involved with technology industries, a lot of the relentless development can be pretty invisible. The last three or four generations of the iPhone, for example, look similar – but inside they have been undergoing big changes.

The fabrication of integrated circuits now routinely uses processes that build features (like transistors) at single-digit nanometer scale. For perspective, an individual virus is typically 30-50 nanometers long! What does this scaling down mean? Manufacturers can cram more transistors (and therefore more processing power) and more micro-sensors (which are made using the same techniques) into a smaller space – all while using less power!

The same underlying technology is available to companies developing health monitoring devices and fitness trackers. The result can be products with massive long lists of features. But how many of these features are gimmicks and how many are actually useful? Are they value for money or would you simply be better off without them?

It’s questions like these (and many others) we hope to answer here at NuHealthTek.

For good measure, we will also be looking at health supplements to determine what will help your health, what you should avoid and what will just be money down the drain.
